Enjoy the delicious culinary treats through the eyes of a local in this enchanting Catalan region of Girona - Costa Brava and learn all about traditions, local gourmet products, specialties and ingredients - all locally produced !

Interact with the locals and visit vineyards, local farms, olive oil and cheese makers for example -- and all within reach of beautiful, medival towns.

On a full day culinary and cultural guided tour by car, you will discover the breathtaking scenery of our region and essential part of the Catalan life.

Set off from the city centre of Girona on your private, luxury mini-van on a fun-filled day discovering some of the most famous local products.

Not only will it be a tasty day, it will be an enjoyable, scenic route taking you off the beaten track in the province of Girona and the Costa Brava.

Stops will include a local producer of olive oil, where you will discover all about the world of this famous ´liquid gold´. From growing the olive on the tree to pressing it for our consumption.

Visit a local sheep herding family that have opened up their farmhouse to learn all about the herding traditions, sheering of the sheep and of course the special sheep breed themselves, used to produce one-of-a-kind, ecologic, cheeses and lactics which you will be tasting of course.

From the inlands you will drive towards the coast to enjoy a stop in La Escala to taste the famous anchovies that are used in many traditional dishes.

Enjoy a traditional lunch in a beautiful Catalan Masia, where local wines are being produced. You will enjoy typical, authentic local dishes, whilst learning all about the wine-making process. Of course, their wines will be tasted too, as the star product of the region is without a doubt the Denomation of Origin Empordà wine.

Visit to a small local producer and museum of Jams and Preserves. Enjoy a short explanation of the type of Jams and Preserves that are produced in the area and how they are used in the traditional Catalan kitchen.

One of the final stops of the day is in the beautiful marshlands of Pals. Here visit a rice mill, where you will learn all about the growing of rice and processing it. An important ingredient in the Catalan´s diet.

Return to Girona at the end of the day and say farewell to your local foodie guide.
