The Roca Brothers to Open Chocolate Factory in Girona City

Girona will become all the more sweet with the announcement of the opening of the Roca brothers’ very own Chocolate Factory! The announcement was made last week by Joan Roca, the eldest of the three Roca brothers who are the talented chefs behind the world-famous, 3-Michelin star restaurant “El Celler de Can Roca”. The chocolate factory is expected to open before the end of 2017 in the center of enchanting medieval Girona. Chocolate will be sourced from Peru and will offer a bean-to bar concept. The chocolate factory will be spearheaded by Jordi Roca, who has professional training as a pastry chef and is responsible for the popular, whimsical ice cream shop on Santa Clara street in Girona called “Rocambolesc”.

While there still only a few details known about the Chocolate Factory, what we do know is that the Roca’s brothers culinary delights- whether it be served at their restaurant, ice cream shop or soon-to-be chocolate factory-- keep giving locals and visitors of Girona alike all the more reasons to fall in love with the flavours of Girona.
